When is Eid e Milad in 2014?
EID milad un nabi is a festival celebrated by muslims in India also known as Eid e Milad. It is a gazetted holiday in India so government offices, banks and post offices are closed on the day. Muslims carry green flags on their shops and houses’ roofs because the green color represents Islam and paradise.
Why celebrate Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi?
The day is celebrated as the birth day of Muhammad (SAW), who is the founder of Islam. According to Islamic calendar it is celebrated on 12th day of Rabi ul awwal (name of Islamic month) every year. The word Milad indicates the birth and the un-nabi means holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alehi Wasallam).
When is Eid e Milad in 2020?
In 2020 Jashn e Eid Milad un Nabi(Sallallahu Alehi Wasallam) will be celebrated on Tuesday, 14th January of 2020 or according to moon. Every Islamic month depends on the appearance of moon and the festival is celebrated on 12th day of Rabi ul Awwal.
