IBPS CLERK PREPARATION TIPS
IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2020:
For this year IBPS clerk recruitment, totally 12075 vacancies have been released. Comparing to the last year vacancy (7275) it is much greater now. So this is the greatest opportunity for the aspirants who are dreaming to enter the banking sector. The IBPS Clerk apply online link has been activated already.
- Start date to fill online application – 17th of September 2020.
- Last date to fill online application – 9th of October 2020.
The exam dates are also announced for both prelims and mains. On 7th, 8th, 14th, and 21st of December 2020 the prelims exams will be held. The mains exam will take place on the 19th of January 2020. So candidates have enough time for the exam preparation.

IBPS Clerk Selection Process:
There are 2 stages in the IBPS clerk selection process. They are,
- Online Preliminary exam
- Online mains exam
There is no interview round in this IBPS clerk recruitment process. As prelims is the first round of the recruitment concentrate more on that part. Here some of the preparation tips are provided for the candidates. It will be useful for the aspirants to secure good marks in the exam. Also, the IBPS Clerk exam pattern for the prelims and the mains exam are provided for your reference.
IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern:
- The IBPS clerk preliminary exam consists of 3 sections namely the English language, quantitative aptitude, and the reasoning ability.
- Number of questions in the English language section is 30.
- The reasoning ability section has 35 questions.
- The number of questions in the quantitative aptitude section is 35.
- There will be sectional timing as mentioned in the table.
- 25 marks will be deducted as the penalty for the wrong answers.
- The candidates clearing the prelims round will face the mains exam. Any way the prelims marks are not considered for the provisional allotment.

IBPS Clerk Mains Exam Pattern:
- The IBPS clerk mains exam has 4 sections. They are English language, reasoning ability & computer aptitude, data interpretation & analysis and general economy & banking awareness.
- The sectional timing for each section is mentioned in the table.
- 1/4th of the marks assigned to question is deducted as the penalty for each wrong answer.
- The marks obtained in this exam are considered for the preparation of merit list. The candidates who clear the mains exam will get the provisional allotment order.

Preparation Tips for IBPS Clerk Prelims & Mains:
IBPS clerk exam is one of the toughest exams to clear. You have to work hard daily according to the study plan. Also taking IBPS Clerk mock tests will enhance your speed and accuracy.
