Happy Children’s Day 2014

Every relation is important in any individual’s life. Relation keeps the people connected together. Giving respect to every relation is necessary for us to maintain them in a lovely way. Children are best example of such relations. In all over word there is a special day for almost every relation to celebrate. International Men’s Day, International Women’s Day, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Parents’ Day are include in such list. Children’s Day is recognized on various days in many places around the world, to honor children globally. Children are the best creation of God; those have their unique affection and place in everyone’s life. Children’s day was first proclaimed by the World Conference for the Well-being of Children in 1925 and then established universally in 1954 to protect an “appropriate” day.

Universal Children’s Day takes place annually on November 20. First proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1954, it was established to encourage all countries to institute a day, firstly to promote mutual exchange and understanding among children and secondly to initiate action to benefit and promote the welfare of the world’s children.

Why we Celebrate Children’s Day

Children’s day is special day for every children in whole world, it is not only a day to celebrate children for who they are, but to bring awareness to children around the globe that have succumbed to violence in forms of abuse, exploitation and discrimination. In many countries or areas small kids are treated like labourers, and abused badly. This day is for such people to creating awareness in people to save kids from such abusements. It gives a message to everyone about child care and their importance. Children are used as labourers in some countries, immersed in armed conflict, living on the streets, suffering by differences be it religion, minority issues, or disabilities. Currently there are about 153 million children between the ages of 5 and 14 who are forced into child labour.

Why Celebrate Children’s Day in India

In India there is also many children those are facing such issues. In India, Children’s Day is celebrated on 14 November, the birthday of the country’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. On this special day many functions are organized in schools, offices, and other organizations all over the country. Various cultural performances and function, acts are performed during the day. Children are important for parents and for country as well. Children are the bright future of every country, so there is need to give them all rights and respect.
