Happy Children’s Day 2017

We celebrate some special days to commemorate something as we celebrate Father’s Day, Mother’s Day and others. Today is 14 November 2020, which is celebrated as the Children Day. It is everyone’s day because somewhere in life we all were children. Children day is celebrated around the world to honor children. It was first accepted by the World Conference for the Well-being of children in 1952. It was then in 1954 established universally. The global variant of Children Day is Universal Children’s Day which is celebrated on 20 November. In some countries it is celebrated on different date in November.

In India Children Day is the tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his 124^th birth anniversary.  He was the first Prime Minister of India. To celebrate Children Day, various types of functions are organized across the country. The other reason to celebrate this day is that Jawaharlal Nehru had great affection for children and he is fondly called ‘Chacha’ Nehru.
